In line with the directions of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to unify public education in the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education and Knowledge announced the unification of public education in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in November 2017. The operation and management of public schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi became under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education, so it can follow the same education system implemented across the UAE.
